Which direction does the Uras Vibrator shaft turn?
Three-phase power generally cycles between terminals in the order R, S, T.
The respective Uras Vibrator power terminals are labeled U, V, and W.
The Uras Vibrator's cable has 4 leads: red (U), white (V), black (W), and green (ground).
The standard direction of rotation is achieved by connecting the Uras Vibrator terminals U, V, and W to the power terminals R, S, and T, respectively.
In this configuration, the standard direction of the shaft’s rotation will be the same as the direction in which the cable protrudes from the terminal box.
Can I change the direction of rotation of the Uras Vibrator?
To acheive reverse rotation for three-phase Uras Vibrators, connect the terminals R to V, S to U, and T to W.
Single-phase Uras Vibrators will only rotate in the standard direction and cannot be reversed.
Can the Uras Vibrator be installed in any orientation?
For non-horizontal installation, the Uras Vibrator has a top side and a bottom side. The top side is the side of the frame which the terminal box is on. (The terminal box is designed so as not to be in the center of the frame.)
For diagonal or vertical installation, please make sure that Uras Vibrator is oriented with the top side up.
Can I replace the Uras Vibrator’s cable?
The Uras Vibrators cable is directly subjected to vibration. If you need to replace the cable, please make sure to use a cable which is designed to withstand vibration.
We carefully select the vibration-resistant cables by testing their vibration-resistance capability.
How should the Uras Vibrator’s vibration resistant cable be secured?
The vibration resistant cable is constantly subjected to repeated bending.
Please secure the cable so that it is loosely curved in a "U" shape. (Refer to the Uras Vibrator catalogue for more details.)
It is not recommended to use the Uras Vibrator at altitudes greater than 1000 meters. Is it possible to use it at 1300 meters altitude?
At higher altitudes the atmospheric pressure decreases. For example, the pressure at 1300 meters is 15% less than the pressure at 0 meters. Because of this, the air density is lower at higher altitudes.
With less air, the vibrator's ability to cool itself is restricted, which may lead to overheating.
Please consult with the Overseas Sales Department if you intend to use the Uras Vibrator at altitudes greater than 1000 meters.
How can I generate linear vibration using the Uras Vibrator?
Installing two Uras Vibrators with their shafts parallel and their direction of rotation opposite to each other will produce linear vibration.
The vibrators will naturally synchronize with each other, and there is no need to physically link their shafts.
The red arrow on the diagram below shows the powder’s motion, the yellow arrow shows the direction of vibration, and the blue arrow shows the direction that the vibrator is turning.
What if the supply power voltage changes while the Uras Vibrator is in operation?
The Uras Vibrator can safely handle momentary voltage changes of ±10% of the rated voltage.
Can I use the Uras Vibrator outdoors?
The standard KEE series, single-phase SEE series, and increased-safety KZE series of Uras Vibrators can be used outdoors in all weather conditions, with the exception of SEE-0.1-2, which should only be used indoors.
Do the Uras Vibrators conform with European safety standards?
CE Marking is available as an option on most of the standard KEE series Uras Vibrators. Please refer to the Uras Vibrator catalogue for a chart of the models and power ratings for which CE Marking is available.
Are the Uras Vibrators certified for Canadian safety standards?

Can a Uras Vibrator's rotational speed be changed?
The Uras Vibrator's rotational speed can be changed through the use of a variable frequency drive. When using a variable frequency drive, if the weights are set for 50Hz, ensure that the frequency is set to 50Hz or lower, and if the weights are set for 60Hz, ensure that the frequency is set to 60Hz or lower.
What color and type of paint are used for the Uras Vibrator?
The standard color is Munsell 2.5PB5/2, and the standard paint is a phthalic acid paint.
